Our Story
Lemons Story & Scent Co. was founded by Michelle, a creator who knows what it means to be handed lemons and to choose meaning anyway.
For years, Michelle carried the weight of trauma and depression, searching for ways to find steadiness in the middle of chaos. Talk therapy helped. Prayer was powerful. Changing her community created safety. Still, she knew she needed more.
She needed a new story.
When she slowed down and paid attention to what genuinely brought peace, the answer was surprising. It wasn’t complicated. It was lighting a candle. Watching the flicker of the wick, breathing in familiar scents and allowing a moment to pause.
Lavender softened her thoughts.
Sandalwood created grounding.
Citrus was a reminder to breathe a little deeper.
In those moments, she felt more centered, not fixed, not cured merely present. She realized that lighting a candle could help shift the atmosphere around and within her, creating space for reflection, clarity and intention.
That realization became Lemons Story & Scent Co., a small but powerful reminder that no matter how heavy life feels, there is always a way to find your light and create a new story.
